Inma Pavon Movement sessions are based on a combination of playful creative movement techniques. Her embodied approaches are multidirectional (personal creative research practices & multidisciplinary collaborative projects] and observational of the ‘everyday’. Inma’s passion for the Body’s creative language brings a world of textures, colours, … into the creative practice.
Her sessions are structured with warm-ups (easy stretches, meditation practices, …], ensemble creative performative tools and solo creative practices.
For these intensive 2 days workshops we will be working towards the creation of solo pieces and one ensemble piece too. Both will have elements of improvisation and choreographed movement using text, objects and costumes.
Inma’s has long term professional experience with Theatre and Film projects. She has been part of Damian McCarthy feature films: Caveat, Oddity and Hokum.

TUTOR: INMA PAVON
Inma Pavon is a Spanish choreographer, performer, multidisciplinary artist and a dance and art facilitator based in Cork. She holds a BA (Physical Education for Primary School, Malaga/Granada), a MA (Contemporary Dance Performance, UL) and a MPhil (Creative Dance/Art Practice, UCC). She is a Contemporary Affiliate Dance Teacher Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (UK) and a Unesco Dance Member. She is the director of InmaPavonDance (Contemporary Dance classes/workshops & Performance). She was a lecturer with id+Project (adults with intellectual disabilities) and Theatre Studies at University College Cork (UCC). She was ‘Creative Dance Artist in Residence’ with The Rory Gallagher Music Library Cork in 2023/2025. She was commissioned a new piece by the Glucksman Gallery UCC, Art Movements, which has been included in the UCC Arts Collection. It was part of the Glucksman’s recent exhibition titled Stories of Art (July to November 2024). She was part of Daghdha Dance Company Year-long Mentoring Dance Artist Programme directed by Michael Kliën (Artistic Director/CEO of Daghdha Dance Company) and received a Bursary Award by Dance Ireland/The Arts Council to develop new work under the mentorship of Irish performance artist Amanda Coogan. In 2015 Inma was invited to perform The Passing a durational performance solo as part of Amanda Coogan’s project titled I’ll sing you a song from around the town at the RHA Dublin and at the UILLINN West Cork Arts Centre. Inma continues her most recent collaborative project titled ‘Isolation’ in collaboration with video artist Robert Monaghan. This project was presented at CAGE Gallery as part of LOOP Barcelona (2019 & 2020) and at CIACLA (2020). A recent commission of a new piece by the Quiet Music Ensemble, 24 Houses, a series of 24 A3 mix-media art pieces and a solo improvisation dance. Inma has been recently teaching contemporary art sessions at the Glucksman art museum at University College Cork (UCC). Inma has been collaborating with Irish film directors Damian McCarthy in both short and feature films (Caveat, Oddity and Hakum) and Sean Breathnach (Felicidad). Inma has worked with Graffiti Youth Theatre Company, Gaitkrash Theatre Company, Mai Ishikawa (Japanese Theatre Maker and Poet) and Suisha Arts Collective.
