Actors Creator Studio is a practical, performance-based acting course designed for actors taking their first steps into professional screen and theatre work.

Rather than training through exercises alone, actors develop through the process of rehearsing, performing, and creating original projects for film and stage.

The course is specifically designed for actors — not directors or filmmakers. Production is used as the vehicle for actor development, giving students practical experience in front of camera and audience while building professional material and credits along the way.

Throughout the year, actors:

• Build professional credits for their acting CV

• Create strong material for their showreel

• Develop confidence in front of camera and live audience

• Gain practical experience on set and in rehearsal environments

• Learn how professional productions function from an actor’s perspective

• Develop creative confidence and collaborative skills

Since 2016, Creators Studio members have gone on to take part in a wide range of short films, feature projects, and theatre productions.

Actors are guided through the full creative process — from early development and rehearsal through to finished performance and production — while continually developing their craft through practical experience.

WHY THIS COURSE IS DIFFERENT

Traditional acting classes often focus entirely on exercises, scene study, and technique in a classroom environment.

Creators Studio is built around learning through real practice.

Actors spend the year actively rehearsing, collaborating, filming, performing, and creating finished work for screen and stage. This practical experience not only develops performance ability and confidence, but also leaves actors with tangible professional material and credits by the end of the course.

The emphasis is always on the actor’s growth.

• Every project produced through Actors Creator Studio allows participants to earn professional acting credits for their resume.

• The most valuable training an actor can receive is practical experience in front of camera and audience. Creators Studio is designed to provide this real-world experience through active participation in screen and theatre productions.

• The course is part-time and suitable for actors with school, college, or work commitments.

• Successful applicants will be offered a place in either the Monday evening group or Wednesday evening group.
