Arthur Miller’s The Crucible is a powerfully disturbing account of the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts in the 17th century. Rigid religious and moral views provoke a community's mass hysteria when a young girl (Abigail Williams) and her friends accuse innocent people, who have slighted them, of performing witchcraft. The selfish cruelty of Abigail's behaviour, and the willingness of the community's religious leaders to rule with fear and violence, teach valuable lessons that are tragic and painful to witness.

BOLT Productions present their profoundly intense and darkly energetic recreation of Miller’s classic tale, highlighting a shamefully sadistic chapter in human history.
