Irene O’Mara Voice
Irene is a voice, accent and text coach with an MA in Voice Studies from Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. Her teaching is influenced by the work of Kristin Linklater, Cicely Berry, Barbara Houseman, among others.
Irene’s work interrogates how we use our voices, how we might free them and feel more connected and confident in performance. Through a range of practical exercises using the body, the mind and the voice, she works with students to develop a clearer understanding of good communication and how to generate an ethos and an atmosphere that fosters its growth.
She teaches acting, voice and accent at Cork School of Music on the Drama & Musical Theatre degrees.
